Kathy Gudonis, MSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Kathy has been in practice since 2001. She received a Master of Social Work from Loyola University Chicago and also studied toward toward a Master of Divinity at McCormick Theological Seminary, with a focus on pastoral care. Her sense of calling has taken her down several divergent roads. As a chaplain for hospice, she has felt led to sit with families experiencing deep and profound loss. As a former elementary school social worker, she’s enjoyed nurturing kids and lived out her desire to play on the job! Kathy has led retreats for all ages, support groups of all sizes, and she’s spoken extensively on parenting, grief, suicide prevention and spirituality.
My passion is to help others navigate rough waters in their lives and experience healing and wholeness. I look for and lift up people’s strengths as well as their challenges, and my openness to the role of faith and spirituality shape my practice. I’m especially interested in helping people walk out life transitions … from starting a new grade or entering college to having a baby, retiring or adjusting to life without a certain special relationship. I’m also a certified yoga instructor, and I value mindfulness as a way to relax into the person you are meant to be. You can often find me “on the mat” teaching classes to both adults and children … or enjoying precious time with my family!
Kathy is in network with BCBS PPO and Medicare.
