Nader Sahyouni is a licensed professional counselor and spiritual director with a heart for helping people deal with issues that keep them from growing in their spiritual lives. He recently completed his Doctor of Ministry in Spiritual Formation from Tyndale University College and Seminary, and he also holds a certificate in Spiritual Direction from North Park Theological Seminary and a M.A. in Counseling from Northeastern Illinois University. Nader works with adults who are experiencing a variety of challenges, including career issues, anxiety, depression, trauma and cultural adjustments. He has a passion for helping people navigate difficult times in a way that produces greater fruitfulness and fulfillment in their lives. In spiritual direction, Nader helps people who want to discern God’s movement in their lives and deepen their relationship with Him, as well as those who are stalled spiritually or feel distant from God. He will also be leading groups at Compass in 2018 with a focus on how our wounds keep us from responding more fully to God’s invitations in our lives.
Nader has also had a 25-year career in management in the medical industry, and he has a B.S. and M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University. Married with four adult children, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, inspirational writing, being in nature, and riding his bike, scooter and waver runner.
